Conditions of Use for teachers and speakers
Additional Conditions of Use for teachers and speakers
aabloo provides two different roles for teaching languages:
- Teacher: Qualified professional with knowledge and experience to offer personalized and structured conversation-based classes.
- Speaker: Native, or fluent in a language, capable of helping and guiding the student during a conversation.
If you want to be a teacher or speaker in aabloo, you must read and accept these Conditions of Use.
These Conditions of Use will apply to any account that has any teacher or speaker roles. If you do not fully accept them, you are not allowed to offer your services in aabloo.
Approval of teachers/speakers
Before starting as a teacher/speaker in aabloo, you must pass a validation process in which your skills and experience are checked to ensure quality and safety to students. After creating your teacher and/or speaker role, the system will need to validate it and for that matter it will ask you for:
- Your PayPal account
- Your Skype account
- Any form of teacher certification (required for teachers only)
During the validation process you will have access the application, but you will not appear in the search results of the student accounts. Once your role is validated, your teacher and/or speaker roles will be activated and you will be able to offer your services in aabloo. This process should not last longer than 48 hours.
aabloo reserves the right of approval, suspension or termination of any teacher account.
As a teacher/speaker you agree to attend the classes the student has booked and paid, on time and in compliance with the ethical and moral standards, and with the required respect and courtesy. Thus, you are obliged to accept and comply with our Acceptable Use Policy.
If at any time you can not attend a scheduled class:
- If there is reaction time: You must inform the student and require him/her to reschedule the class, using the "Reschedule" action available within the class options.
- If there is no reaction time or the scheduled time has already passed: you must contact the student and try to agree a new date and time for the class, trying to complete the process within aabloo, using the available tools.
- If the student does not accept the rescheduling of the class, he/she can contact aabloo to request a refund for the amount he/she paid for the class.
Terms of Payments to teachers/speakers
Teachers and speakers must establish a fee for their services, to be paid by the student. This fee is specified in € (Euros), will be between 1€/hour and 100€/hour, and may be modified by the teacher/speaker whenever he considers it necessary, but not retroactively – that is, if a student booked and paid classes with a previous fee, that previous fee will be respected for that class.
The student must pay the class in advance to the class teacher/speaker in order to complete the confirmation of that class. The amount paid by the student will be automatically transferred to the teacher/speaker account.
Currently aabloo does not charge any fee for the use of its system. However it may charge a fee on the futre, that will not exceed the 10% (VAT included) of a class price, with a possible minimum amount. Such commission will be paid by the teacher/speaker to aabloo, once the teacher/speaker receives the payment form the student.
If PayPal is used as a payment method, an additional charge will be made by the service, which will be applied immediately to all parties receiving income (both the teacher/speaker and aabloo).
It is the responsibility of the teacher/speaker to pay any tax payments required by the law of the country in which he/she resides. aabloo will generate billing for the charges made to the teacher/speaker.
In the event that the class is not carried out, or that the student starts a claim that resolves against the teacher/speaker, aabloo is fully entitled to return the full payment to the student. In this case, PayPal will apply a refund fee for those who have received income (both the teacher/speaker and aabloo).
aabloo will monitor those users who generate a significant number of issues, disputes or claims, and will have full right to cancel the accounts and make refunds as appropriate.
